Conte a Paris have been making pencils since the late 18th century, with its founder, Nicolas Jacques Conte working hard to make the colours of pencils "fixed and unchangable" to meet the requiremetns of the painters of the day. Thus the Artists' pencils were born. Used by top artist, amateur artis and art students alike, Conte a Paris offers the widest variety of techniques and effects possible for drawing and sketching.
The Conte a Paris Sketching pencils come in 3 colours:
Sanguine - a deep "rust" colour whose lines are easily blended.
Sepia - a colour that is reminiscent of Burnt Umber
White - suitable for sketching on black or coloured paper.
